Dr. James Dobson Denounces Bethany Christian Services for Their Decision to Place Children with Same-Sex Parents

March 11, 2021 — On March 1, Bethany Christian Services, one of the largest adoption and foster care agencies in the United States, unashamedly announced that it will now place children with same-sex parents in all 32 states of operation. Bethany's decision is heartbreaking, cowardly and premature.

We saw this coming. Two years ago, Michigan's attorney general said foster agencies that contract with the state must place children with LGBT families. Rather than stand and fight for children, Bethany renounced its long-standing commitment to biblically-rooted principles regarding God's design for the family. Last week's announcement simply extends their capitulation nationwide. If Christian organizations will not put the interests of children first—who will?

Bethany Christian Services stated that they want to provide "safe, loving, and stable homes to as many vulnerable children as possible." Yet, study after study has proven that homes without a married mother and father are less stable, which means less safe for children! Bethany knows better but chose to take the path of least resistance, and children will pay the ultimate price. Their decision was also premature and begs the question—why now? Last November, the U.S. Supreme Court heard a case on this very issue—Fulton v. City of Philadelphia—and we are still waiting to hear whether the justices will protect religious freedom for faith-based agencies. Instead of taking a stand for children and holding fast to biblical values, Bethany caved to the Left's LGBTQ attacks against God's best for our children. Their lack of Christian backbone is craven and deserves our strongest denunciation.

For decades, Bethany has purposed to be there for children in a manner that emanates the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. Most certainly, this means holding fast to the God-ordained structure of the family. I encourage all Christians to let Bethany know how blatantly wrong they are. We must also pray for the leadership of their organization to reverse this erroneous and damaging decision. It's never too late to do what is right before God and mankind.

Stand With Israel

We thank God that the April 13th missile and drone attack on Israel, by the Islamic Republic of Iran, failed. Many of the 300 missiles and drones were destroyed by Israel's Iron Dome defense system or by U.S. and Israeli jets. But the failure of the attack does not erase its significance. For the first time, Iran has launched an attack directly from its own territory on Israel, instead of using its proxies, including Hamas and Hezbollah.

Standing For Religious Liberty

Kudos to a bipartisan group of U.S. senators who have introduced Senate Resolution 569 to reiterate that religious freedom is a core human right and should be a top priority of U.S. foreign policy.

New Study Debunks Trans Narrative

Everything about the transgender ideology is anti-science as well as being anti-God. The Lord created mankind to be men and women. Science confirms that genetically there are two genders—male and female. A man cannot "become" a woman, nor can a woman "become" a man by radical, deforming surgery or administering powerful, dangerous drugs.
